1 Market Place - Ratskeller
Your Historic Walk starts on the Rinteln market place with the beautiful half timbered houses.
The most splendid building at this market place is the Ratskeller, the former Rinteln townhall (until 1900). The history of this building can be traced back to the 13th century.
Between 1598 and 1604 the house was rebuilt and got this beautiful facade in ‘Weserrenaissance’ style.Today there is a restaurant and an assembling hall that is used for several events.
