3 St. Nikolai-Kirche

A few steps further raises up the 50 m steeole of St.Nicolai, Rinteln’s landmark.This three- naved church was first mentioned in 1238. At the end of the 18 th century the tower got it’s Baroque building. Inside you can see a very old baptisemal font, a Gothic altar and the tomb of Jousua Stegmann, professor of Divinity at Rinteln university and composer of the well known chant "Ach bleib mit Deiner Gnade..."
