You continue your walk along the 'Kirchplatz' to 'Ritterstrasse'. At the beginning of this street you have beautiful views on the half timbered houses along 'Kreuzstrasse' on your right and 'Schulstrasse' on your left. At the end of this street the white Classic style building is from 1831. Since those days it serves as a municipal school. In 'Ritterstrasse' - it got the name because Schaumburgian noblemen had their townhouses here - you find memorial tablets at No. 18 and No.33 for two famous Rinteln citizens:

Franz von Dingelstedt - former director of the Vienna Burgtheatre and composer of the 'Weserlied' Christian Kröner - well known painter of animal and hunting scenes.
